Mine Engineer 1-3 Location: Stillwater Mine - Nye, MT Schedule: 5x2, 4x3 - 9-hour days Job Responsibilities and Duties: Provide engineering support for production stope designs and short-range planning. Mine planning includes stope and access design, along with stope infrastructure requirements. Infrastructure encompasses but is not limited to ventilation boreholes, muck passes, mine drainage, and electrical installations. Mining methods include ramp and fill, cut and fill (both mechanized and slusher supported), uphole longhole stopes, and underhand mining with paste backfill. Mine planning includes assessment of ground control needs (in conjunction with rock mechanics engineers), ventilation assessments (in conjunction with ventilation engineer), geological constraints or opportunities (with production geologists), and estimations of economic viability against varying operating parameters.
