Job Description Your Impact As a Sr Mechanical Engineer in transformer value stream, you will play a key role in product design of devices to monitor transformer health. You will be designing, developing, creating prototypes, optimizing and testing. This role will interact with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, EE designers, manufacturing test engineers and peers from the global R&D organization. You will design, develop, and create 3D models, detailed mechanical drawings, BOMs, electro-mechanical parts, and gauges. Position Summary The Summer Engineering Intern supports day-to-day process and plant engineering activities at a calcium carbonate (industrial minerals) manufacturing facility. Working closely with engineering, production, maintenance, quality, and EHS teams, the intern will help improve safety, reliability, product quality, and operating efficiency across quarrying (as applicable), crushing, grinding, classification, drying, conveying, storage, and bulk packaging/shipping operations. This role is designed for a hands-on student who wants real-world exposure to industrial operations and continuous improvement in a heavy manufacturing environment.
