This includes quoting, designing, installing, programming, debugging, and troubleshooting. The Automation Engineer is also responsible for being the main contact or assisting others, in the development and managing of outside vendors used to develop the above equipment when necessary. The Tooling Engineer drives new injection mold tooling from estimating to completion & supports existing production tooling needs. This individual will be responsible for tools built internally and externally, perform DFM activities, overseeing tool design acceptance, maintaining schedules and budgets, & problem solving through the life of the tool. In this position, you will quote new tooling and revisions, approve mold designs, and source new molds through approved suppliers (domestically and internationally) to meet internal and external customer requirements. The Tooling Engineer also follows up on tooling to ensure compliance with standards in design, tool construction, and construction timelines.
