POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineering Co-Op students will take part in projects that cover all phases of the New Product Development (NPD) process from early conception to prototype development. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Tests electrical appliances to collect data for use in system designs. Completes electrical specification documents as per component tests. Works with team members to create the specifications for the electrical system design. Creates 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models for electrical components. Generates 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of the electrical system and components. Conducts bench top electrical tests to collect data. Works with Electrical Engineering to develop electrical systems. Uses electrical tools such as O-Scopes, Multi-Meters, Power Supplies. Participates in design reviews.
