Description General Position Summary Performs a variety of system design work for medical devices primarily at the drafting and design stages in conjunction with the engineers. Essential Job Functions Engineering Activities Design / draft / detailing product subsystems independently or with inputs from Engineers. Process Engineering Change Orders and prepares supporting documentation for official release. Works in a cross-functional team comprised of mechanical, electrical and software engineers. Assists with proof-of-principle and concept prototype designs. Assists in modifying BOM structures and calculates costs based on BOMs. Details designs through applicable dimensioning, tolerancing, and stack analysis. Conducts experimental test per Engineering input and participates in analysis discussions. Model and draft designs exclusively in SolidWorks within a PDM system.
