POSITION SUMMARY Thompson Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Transportation Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our growing transportation design team in our Tuscaloosa, AL office. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in roadway and transportation design and will play a key role in supporting and leading projects from concept through construction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare roadway and transportation designs, plans, and specifications using OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D . • Support and lead design efforts for municipal, state DOT, and private transportation projects. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including survey, environmental, and structural staff. • Develop project deliverables including cost estimates, quantities, and design reports. • Serve as a task leader or project engineer on complex assignments. • Assist with client coordination, project management, and mentoring of junior engineers or designers....
