NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support hydraulic component replacement of the Recovery Assist, Securing and Traversing (RAST) System. This position will be based out of the NDI office in Thorofare, NJ, with some site work to be performed at NAWCAD (Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division) located in Lakehurst, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in hydraulics and piping systems, have utilized hydraulic schematics and P&IDs, have an understanding of pumps and motors, and have experience in the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Job Responsibilities • Work as part of a project team and interface with managers, design engineers, U.S. Navy civilian engineers, and equipment manufacturers. • Work with project team to help identify replacement COTS (commercial off the shelf) pump and motor components, to replace obsolete and/or unavailable components.
