Overview AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities Conduct research of submarine construction drawings using the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System. Part of a team that develops submarine shipboard alterations. Learn while working with an experienced engineering staff. Conduct static analysis of mechanical structures. Conduct hydrodynamic analyses under a variety of at-sea operational conditions. Develop models to predict performance. Assist the Design Team with material selection based on in-process stress calculations as well as commercial and/or military specifications.
