Position Overview The Mechanical Design Engineering Intern will be responsible for modeling, designing, and analyzing mechanical components with a focus on vehicle sub-system design to achieve sales/customer requirements. You will do this throughout the product development phase using computational analysis, FEA, and general engineering principles. You will also work with other engineers, assemblers, and suppliers to facilitate internal and outside manufacturing. The Mechanical Design Engineering Intern will directly report to the Director of Engineering Operations; however, they may also take direction from the Sr. Design Engineers. The position requires a part-time work week spent in the shop/office. Normal hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am-12:00pm.
