As an Engineering Intern you will work in an industrial environment, and you must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Interns should be comfortable using a computer and expect to interact with Trex engineers and production operations personnel. Engineering Interns will complete AutoCAD (3D preferred) work for part design and implementation, conduct equipment review and reliability inspections and reporting, and assist engineers with other routine tasks. Requirements: Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited chemical or mechanical engineering program and must have successfully completed at least two semesters of coursework with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Job Overview The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the CEG (Custom Equipment Group) team with capital project execution, manufacturing equipment improvements, mechanical design solutions, equipment retrofits, and reliability-focused problem solving. This role provides hands-on engineering support in a manufacturing environment by helping develop practical solutions that improve safety, quality, uptime, ergonomics, and cost.
