Job Title: Summer 2026 I&E Engineer Intern Summary: As an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Intern, you will support small-scale engineering projects focused on upgrading instruments and electrical equipment across the site. You will gain hands-on experience with SAP project tracking, vendor coordination, technical drawings, and construction planning, while also assisting the Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer on reliability initiatives and system modeling. Responsibilities Include: Primary focus will be on entering small projects into SAP PPM and following the project through while the intern is here. Track project through Excel spend file and SAP Obtain quotes from vendors Order equipment through SAP Complete drawings of items being replaced by utilizing existing drawings. The Design Engineering team at Rohde & Schwarz USA provides mechanical design support for production operations in our Coppell, TX facility. This includes creating drawing packages for system production. These packages can contain mechanical part drawings, assembly drawings, system diagrams, cable diagrams, cable lists, and various other drawing types. The Design Engineering team is responsible for creating custom mechanical parts for systems. These parts can either be created on-site by R&S technicians, printed on our in-house 3D printer, or sent to an external supplier.
