Bascom Hunter is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the design, development, analysis, and testing of aerospace and defense systems. This position provides hands-on engineering experience across a range of mechanical technologies, including thermal management systems, precision rotating machinery, mechanical packaging, and ruggedized electronic systems. The Schaefer internship and co-op program provides opportunities for students to apply classroom methodology to hands-on modeling and design. The student's Schaefer advisor, mentor and the assigned project team coordinate to ensure the learning experience is relevant and challenging. Successful internships and co-op rotations may lead to full-time employment, as evidenced by our present staff of dedicated and talented structural engineers and modelers, many of whom were students here themselves.
