Purpose/Scope The Design Engineer Intern supports the engineering design of precast concrete products to meet structural, manufacturing, and constructability requirements. Working under the guidance of Design Engineers, mentors, supervisors, and other specialists, the intern gains practical experience applying engineering principles to active projects while learning Fabcon's design processes, standards, and products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with engineering tasks on assigned projects under the direction and review of experienced Design Engineers. Review contract documents, drawings, and project specifications to understand the scope and requirements of assigned projects. Assist in developing efficient precast designs using industry standards and Fabcon design and detailing standards.
