Outsource Manufacturing Engineer Position Summary: The Scot Forge Outsource Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the outsourcing group by providing detailed part-focused engineering. This role will ensure suppliers have the specific capability to produce identified components, establish strong APQP plans, inspection capabilities, etc. Where appropriate, this role with function between the Scot Forge manufacturing team and the outsource suppliers, ensuring a cohesive manufacturing plan (datums, hand-offs, clarifying work instructions, drawings etc). A significant portion of the time will be spent on initial part deployment within a given supplier, ensuring high quality performance, effective recording keeping and specification compliance (examples include Level 1 markings, detrimental material control, etc).
