PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION The purpose of this classification is to prepare plans and specification drawings for construction projects, using mechanical and CADD drafting functions. Employees in this classification assemble and correlate data, review developers' plans, and advise customers regarding requirements for water mains and extensions. Employees in this classification also utilize and/or update GIS and GPS data. Position reports to the Utility Design Supervisor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The following duties are normal for this position.
