We are looking for a Bridge Engineer with their EI in the Longwood, FL area. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in structural engineering is preferred, including participation in a variety of bridge and transportation structure related assignments ranging from miscellaneous structures to complex bridge design as well as structural building design. This position will be responsible for design and preparation of plans, calculation packages and specifications for bridge, miscellaneous structures and building projects. PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION The purpose of this classification is to prepare plans and specification drawings for construction projects, using mechanical and CADD drafting functions. Employees in this classification assemble and correlate data, review developers' plans, and advise customers regarding requirements for water mains and extensions. Employees in this classification also utilize and/or update GIS and GPS data. Position reports to the Utility Design Supervisor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The following duties are normal for this position.
