Duties Description Working in the Division of Operations' Bureau of Design & Construction, this position serves as a Project Engineer of a major construction project or of a group of smaller construction projects. Incumbent plans, designs, inspects, and prepares contract documents and estimates for and supervises the construction and maintenance of a wide variety of facilities including requisite water and wastewater treatment, bridges, drainage structures, dams, levees, flood pump stations, buildings, fish hatcheries, wildlife facilities, roads and trails. Under the general direction of a higher-level licensed professional engineer, incumbent manages large construction projects and inspection initiatives and/or supervises lower-level staff involved in the design and/or construction of various projects.
