Description Your role at GEI. Job Description GEI's Washington DC office continues to grow and is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer in Metro DC or the surrounding areas of Virginia and Maryland. Specifically, we are seeking candidates with a strong understanding of soil and rock mechanics theories and their practical application. Experience or interest in structural engineering concepts, design of earth retaining systems, and environmental remediation are a plus. Under the direction of a Senior Engineer, this individual will support engineering investigations, analyses, and reporting and will assist in preparing design documents for foundations and excavations support systems, ground improvement systems, instrumentation, and environmental work.
