Description Burns & McDonnell is seeking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our Power global practice. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead mechanical design project teams to create world class designs for both new and existing power generation facilities. These design projects will enhance power production at several types of facilities including traditional gas generation (simple cycle, combined cycle, reciprocating engines), renewable generation (solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, hydro, hydrogen) and energy storage (lithium-ion batteries, flow batteries). The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the project team throughout the design, procurement, and construction process, adapting mechanical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
