ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Provide process engineering support for resolution of process and equipment problems related to food manufacturing, packaging, and distribution.
• Provide guidance for construction and execution of protocols for process and qualification trials.
• Utilize a Lean Manufacturing approach and employ techniques to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
• Drive productivity increases and savings through OEE increase and process variation reduction.
• Develop process control steps in collaboration with the Quality department.
• Develop best practices and standards that are consistent across the manufacturing facilities.
• Support Research & Development and Operations as needed with process data analysis for cost reduction and improvement projects.
• Assemble and submit capital project requests as required.
• Lead any projects as necessary to support business needs.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills that build productive relationships and influence others within Operations, Research & Development, and Quality Control.
• Must build a strong "hands-on" working knowledge of the production process.
• Must understand how key process input variables impact the production output.
• Show proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Autocad.

• Must be results-oriented and driven to improve processes and performance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing process improvement experience required.
• Strong planning and organization skills; ability to manage multiple, rapidly changing priorities; focus on achieving business and customer expectations.
• Must have a broad knowledge of food process technologies with excellent communication/interpersonal.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and CMMS systems is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification desired.
