In this position the Engineer will be responsible for: Repair fabrication projects from initial assessment through to final implementation. Analyze existing commercial aircraft components in order to reverse engineer them and develop equivalent parts with improved performance and cost savings. Manage and participate in all aspects of reverse engineering a product, develop documentation and provide fabrication and product support and technical instructions on time and within budget. Job Purpose: The Certification Engineer will lead Part 25 and Part 23 STC Programs for the installation of airborne equipment such as Avionica's products onto aircraft. They will initiate and execute STC programs with the FAA or ODA, and coordinate with the various stakeholders involved, such as the operator. They will support certification compliance activities at the Avionica facility and the aircraft, including parts and installation conformity inspections and FAA witnessed ground functional and EMI testing.
